I thought I would post about our fun trip to the coast over Labor weekend. It was our last trip of the year now that school, soccer, basketball, flag football and dance are in full swing and we have hardly enough time to eat dinner together! Costanoa has been somewhere we have wanted to go for awhile and now that the kids are a little older, camping is a lot easier. Originally, we were supposed to go for 3 days, but my niece arrived a little early (more on that later) so we left a day late and spent two fun filled days on the coast with 2 other families. While we were there, we visited Pigeon Point and ate a yummy breakfast at Duarte’s, they are well known for their artichoke soup and it did not disappoint!
Our tent bungalow inside and out…now this is my kind of camping!!
The kids had a blast running around barefoot and carefree!
So many fun memories!!

It was a pleasure to finally meet up with this family! We already had to cancel our first session we had scheduled due to rain, it was looking like we were going to have to reschedule again but we ended up getting lucky…the rain held out! I had a lot of fun with this family at the park and the vacant field across the street from the park on Friday evening! The parents’ are always a big help at getting their kids to smile and laugh for me but this dad was making ME laugh so hard I had to set my camera down a few times so I could catch my breath! I know how tough it can be to gather everyone together for a group picture so I commend this family for not only picking a date (something I still need to do with my extended family) but coordinating so well for the picture! What a beautiful morning it was at the park!
First I met up with the {B} family for a mini session, then the rest of the family showed up for group pictures. Enjoy your sneak peek!

This Super Mom is very special to me. Not only does she watch my daughter for me while I work at my full time day job, she also is a single mom and owns a cupcake business in El Dorado Hills (Peek-a-Boo Cupcakes)! I was excited to be able to capture these photos for her and her children. Even though the photo shoot started out a little rough with me sliding down a hill and scraping up the side of my leg (what a klutz I am!), the gorgeous lighting and beautiful personalities of these three made up for it!

Last week my family and I spent the week in Lake Tahoe. It was so nice to escape the heat of Folsom. When we left it was 102! With heat like that it’s no wonder things around here look so brown and dead. I couldn’t get over the natural beauty found in Lake Tahoe. Beautiful fields with wildflowers everywhere…so pretty! I thought I would share some of my favorites with you. Enjoy!
